Westall Park is one of the UK’s finest natural burial grounds and aims to create a place which those who wish to remember their loved ones will want to visit, not out of a sense of duty, but from the pleasure and peace of mind it can evoke. Westall Park has created an eco-friendly cemetery as a place for quiet reflection in an informal setting amongst trees, wild flowers and wildlife. Eventually it will become a woodland glade, full of nature where all wildlife is encouraged to thrive.

Black is not obligatory, smart/ casual is fine
Westall Park is a field which can get muddy, so suitable footwear is advisable. Come dressed for the weather!
Wilfred’s favourite flower was the rose. We are asking everyone who comes to bring a single stem rose. These will be collected on arrival in a basket so that you won’t have to hold it through the service. We will then ask those who attend the burial to help us cover Wilfred’s place of rest with roses once he has been buried. So your rose offering will rest with Wilfred in his rest.
Neither plastic, or Oasis are allowed at the natural burial ground.
If you would like to make a donation in Wilfred’s memory, there will be a donation box at the back of the hall, from which any money collected will go to some of the impoverished brothers and sisters in South Africa whom Wilfred knew and loved dearly.
Thinking of you all.
So thankful that we share a hope of life in Christ Jesus.
May you be comforted by the God of all comfort.
with much love,
Andrew & Sian xx
Dear Family, I did not know Brother Wilfred, but a brother and sister I know in Johannesburg always spoke highly of him. His death is a sad blow for all who knew him and benefited from his wisdom. The Lord give you strength and comfort. Fraternal love in our Lord Jesus, Your brother Rex (Adelaide, Australia)
So sorry to hear the news that our dear Brother has fallen asleep. Our community has lost an inspiring character who was able to convey so much of his vast scriptural understanding in a way that engaged audiences wherever he went. Wilf managed to draw from his great knowledge and combine this with endearing humour, incisive analysis and lateral thought. He was always keen to challenge everyone to think for themselves about what the Good News meant for them. On the occasions when we had the privilege to spend time with him over Sunday lunch, it was always us who felt that we were the ones who had been “entertained”. We’ll miss him, but hopefully, not for long…

Sleep dear brother and awake with the coming of the Lord.
Your faith was powerful – may it comfort those you loved, and those who love you.
‘.. love is strong as death .. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it ..’
Remember Wilfred, O Lord, for good.
Dear wilfred
I never met you but i have the privilege to know your son who is a great companion in faith of mine and someone i know will be there to support me in times of difficulties.
Like all his loving family he struggles to let you go to jesus to share his resurrection but will be there on friday to be a witness of what you brought to the world as a disciple of jesus.
I look forward to meet some of the many who have been touched throughout your life by your love and witness.
With my deep sympathy to your wonderful family.
God bless those you trust in him.
With love
Benoit
