Raymond Hutchison

Raymond HutchisonArrangements for the funeral of Raymond Hutchison

Thursday 12th November 2015 at 11am

Family and friends are gathering to acknowledge Ray’s passing, and to celebrate his life.

A short ceremony and burial will take place at Westall Park Natural Burial Ground followed by refreshments at nearby Cookhill Village Hall.

The ceremony at Westall Park will be quite informal and will be wholly reflective of Ray.  We will all make a toast to Ray with a hot toddy around the grave and  then all are warmly invited to come back to Cookhill Village Hall for tea and sandwiches and to share memories and stories about Ray.

Please share this link with anyone who may wish to know about the funeral.

Please see below for directions and further information, and feel free to send any messages to Ray’s family via the comments area below.

Westall Park is one of the UK’s finest natural burial grounds and aims to create a place which those who wish to remember their loved ones will want to visit, not out of a sense of duty, but from the pleasure and peace of mind it can evoke. Westall Park has created an eco-friendly cemetery as a place for quiet reflection in an informal setting amongst trees, wild flowers and wildlife. Eventually it will become a woodland glade, full of nature where all wildlife is encouraged to thrive.

Ray’s family will be leading the burial themselves, and would like to ask that you ensure your mobile phones are all switched off during the ceremony.

Westall Park is a field which can get muddy, so suitable footwear is advisable and there will be some walking required.

Dress for the weather, Ray wants you to wear “Something bloody warm”!

Ray’s family would prefer that you didn’t buy any flowers. However if you want to bring some from your own garden that would be lovely.

If you would like to make a donation in Ray’s memory, we will be collecting for The Woodland Trust on the day of the funeral.
