Westall Park is one of the UK’s finest natural burial grounds and aims to create a place which those who wish to remember their loved ones will want to visit, not out of a sense of duty, but from the pleasure and peace of mind it can evoke. Westall Park has created an eco-friendly cemetery as a place for quiet reflection in an informal setting amongst trees, wild flowers and wildlife. Eventually it will become a woodland glade, full of nature where all wildlife is encouraged to thrive.

Derek was a man of faith having been baptised in 1971. He had his Bible open daily and firmly believed in living a life to the best of his ability in step with the teachings of Jesus which he did quietly and practically. From his Bible reading Derek firmly believed in resurrection from the dead at the return of Jesus and died in this hope. The service at Kings Norton Christadelphian Hall where Derek was a member will be a an opportunity to remember Derek, his personal faith and to thank God for Derek’s life and hope.

Light refreshments will be provided after the service.

We knew Derek and Ruth many years ago in Leeds. Derek was a lovely, gentle and totally reliable person. Having renewed our contact in recent years Derek had not changed and we enjoyed visiting him and Ruth in their flat and in Kingsley House.. We will remember Derek with great affection and respect.
