If anyone would like to speak about John or share any stories to be told at either the burial or church service then please contact us on info@anaturalundertaking.co.uk before Friday 5th.  This is so that we can pass on your information or stories to Mike Chase and Rosie who will be leading / arranging the burial and church service respectively.

Please share this link with anyone you feel may wish to know about John’s funeral, and if anyone has any questions relating to John’s burial and memorial service please feel free to contact Virginie.

John’s family welcome any tributes, words of remembrance and stories about him so do feel free to leave any messages at the bottom of this webpage.

Westall Park is one of the UK’s finest natural burial grounds and aims to create a place which those who wish to remember their loved ones will want to visit, not out of a sense of duty, but from the pleasure and peace of mind it can evoke. Westall Park has created an eco-friendly cemetery as a place for quiet reflection in an informal setting amongst trees, wild flowers and wildlife. Eventually it will become a woodland glade, full of nature where all wildlife is encouraged to thrive.

In terms of parking, there is a Euro carpark next to Iceland Food in Institute Road. This is about 1 minute walk from the church hall.

Please be careful about parking on the road itself where parking charges apply and traffic wardens are very active.

Tea and cakes will be served after the service.

Address: 23 Institute Rd, Birmingham B14 7EG

The ceremony at Westall Park will take place outside so please come in dark clothes preferably and make sure you are warm.

Please remember also that Westall Park is essentially a field – wellies and umbrellas may also be needed if it has been raining.

On Saturday please come in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

You are more than welcome to order flowers if you wish. Please remember that flowers coming to Westall Park should not be wrapped in plastic or contain oasis. All florists should be aware of this but we find Tuckshop Flowers to be particularly knowledgeable about this.

John was setting up a charity called New Leaf  and he was also involved at SifaFireside please fell free to donate to these charities if you wish to do something in his memory.

You can do so directly via the following links:
