When I think of you Raymond a slow smile that changes into a big grin finds itself to my face. Your famous Christmas line” it looks rain ( rein) deer,” never fails to make me chuckle. Miss you Raymond.🌹 Michelle- tenor Notebenders x
The Great Raymondo, you live on in our memories, never to be forgotten.
Ray you were the kindest funniest man with a smile that brings joy and happiness to everyone! Gone far to soon but you will never be forgotten! The great Raymondo! Keep smiling! rest in peace!xxxx
Raymond and I first met at Audley Boys School. He and Lloyd were a year below me but, we hit it off right away due to our love of sports.
After leaving school I started work at Wimbush Bakery, 1 year later guess who turned up, yes it was Raymond with that wonderful smile and still so full of life. I convinced him to join me in the Wimbish football team where, we went on to win the League and Cup.
Our lives then took us on different paths but, we always kept in touch. When he married Jan and when Alex and Rowena came along he was so happy and he embraced fatherhood with the same zest he had for life. He worshipped Jan and his children.
Raymond will be dearly missed by his family and the many friends he made where ever he went. I will never forget his sense of humour and fun, his zest for life and, of course that smile.
Polly you will always bring a smile to my face when I think of you and, you will always be remembered with fond and happy memories never to be forgotten.
Raymond was one of those people you could trust upon a first introduction. The way he existed made those around him comfortable and a little brighter. He and his family were perfect strangers when we met over 14 years ago and up until this day, he is one of the kindest and genuinely joyous people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Raymond was not one to judge, he was one to make you giggle from games played in a circle, things pulled from your ears or simply watching him interact with his kids. He’d teach just about anyone to spin plates. Something so small yet those are memories so many of us will carry for always and share with his family.
Love you forever, Paula and Frances
When I think of Raymond I think of him with a smile on my face. Raymond was one of the nicest people I have ever met, always smiling and always got time for a chat. Raymond will be missed by many people. RIP
To a kind, caring and considerate neighbour, who was always cheerful and optimistic. Your going is a loss for us all, and we miss you, but you have left behind happy memories and wonderful children, who are a credit to you. God bless you. Jan, you have been so strong and brave through this most difficult time May God help you and grant you ease. Amin
So proud to call you my friend and so many happy memories of all my groups you came to and made all the Carers and people with disabilities feel good and learn new skills. Hope heaven is ready to learn to spin plates and be encased in your special bubbles.
I won’t forget you Pat xPat

Raymond was such a gentleman and always smiling no matter what! We met many years ago when our children went to primary school together and what a pleasure it was to meet him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jan, Alex and Rowena at this very difficult time, lots of love
Thinking of you Jan, Alex and Rowena. Ray was a genuine, kind and loving person. He was always smiling and wanted the world to be a happy place. He was always at hand, with his faithful assistant Rowena, for the Notebenders. Promoting the group, by handing out leaflets and doing little jobs to make our rehearsal run smoothly. If everyone was as caring and patient as Ray was, then the world would be a wonderful peaceful place. RIP RAY.
Ray what can I say? You made me laugh a lot and we had some quite serious chats too. Your support and friendship was truly appreciated and a blessing. Rest in Eternal Peace and keep smiling.
It was a privilege to get to know Raymond and to see a little of the world from his remarkable perspective: wringing every ounce of happiness and opportunity out of life and always finding the positive. I am so glad to have met him and I’m so sorry he’s gone, far too soon.
Sending much love to Jan, Alex and Rowena and the many other people who will miss him and feel his loss.
Going to miss you my magical and inspirational friend.
Raymondo – the great Raymondo
Always remembered as a source of sunshine laughter jokes and magic.
Thank you for your friendship
Raymond welcomed me to my first Notebenders rehearsal with a broad smile and a joke. He brightened any room he was in. Thanks for all the lifts to rehearsals, gigs and jams, and for laughing at my jokes
It was a very sad farewell today to an amazing man. Wonderful send off and I’m sure wherever he is making people smile and laugh he enjoyed all the love given today. We are just soooo sorry we couldn’t be there with the rest of our family but COVID put paid to that. You were in our hearts Raymond and I can only say it was a joy to spend time with you during the years. You leave behind a legend of love and laughter and we can’t imagine how Janet, Rowena and Alexander are going to manage without you but the memories gathered over all those happy years will help. Peace and rest . 💖
I thought of Raymond today when I was reminiscing about the summer school we used to do in Brum. We used to meet every year to do our various art bits and pieces with the kids. I remember he put the head teacher in a bubble and turned a full glass of water upside down over one of our heads with out a drop spilling. Great fun and the kids loved it ! Very sorry to hear the news. He was a wonderful and kind person and always had a smile. ❤️
