Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground and Nature Reserve is part of the growing movement towards natural, woodland and green burial grounds around Britain.
As a natural burial ground, however, Sun Rising is very special: they are not burying in established woodland, or preserving grazing land as some other green burial grounds do; they are creating a nature reserve. It takes time, developing not just through sensitive planting and careful management, but with each and every person who is buried there.
Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground is however a field, so suitable footwear is advisable.
We’re hoping the sun will shine but be prepared to bring extra clothing appropriate for time outdoors and an umbrella.
Auntie Christine and all the family,
Many condolences, much love to all the family. We are thinking of you all and miss you as always.
Love
