Why would anyone want to come to an open evening at an Undertaker?
Since we started our business in 2014 we have encouraged people to ask the questions that no one wants to ask, to find out more about what will happen to ‘their mom’ when she arrives, to come inside and look at what a mortuary should look like and to see how it should operate.
This is how families will really know what care will be provided and whether a particular funeral director is the right one for them.
Our next open evening will be taking place at our Kings Heath premises on Tuesday 29th September 2026 7-9pm
What will you see when you visit?
During our Open Evening you’ll be able to meet some of the team, see inside our mortuary and get an insight into the things we do there to care for people after they’ve died, as well as our family room and meeting areas. We’ll also take a look at our electric hearses.
There will be talks from the team and time to ask any questions you would like answering.
Of course it’s in the evening, so we’ll have some refreshments on hand and Fran might even bake one of her cakes.
Carrie says: “It’s a business that we don’t really think about until we have to. Nor do we really want to. But we want to be honest and transparent about how we can help and what it is we do. To make people feel empowered in their grief. We hope people will come and find out more. These open evenings have always been filled with laughter and are always uplifting.”
The last few years have been fully booked and everyone found the evening to be ’surprisingly’ enjoyable – so make sure you book your space early.

You can book a place by giving us a call on 0121 444 0437, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. The event is free but places are limited.
