BrumYODO – Dying Matters Awareness Week 2016
We had so much going on during Dying Matters Week we knew we’d need to capture all the activities and comments during the week. What followed was this amazing short video courtesy of Sarah Chaundler of Jigsaw Pictures.

Saturday 7th May 9am-2pm Kings Heath Farmers Market: People were able to come and chat with us to find out what it was all about and learn about the events that were coming up.

Tuesday: Urban Coffee Company, Jewellery Quarter, 3.30pm-5.00pm
Wednesday: Impact Hub, Digbeth – 6.30pm-8.30pm
Thursday: John Taylor Hospice Moments Cafe, city centre – 10am-midday
Friday: Walk in Death Cafe at Fletchers, York Road, Kings Heath 2pm-4pm

People were able to join us for creative sessions, coffin decorating, meet hospice teams, Macmillan nurses, will writers, solicitors, shroud demonstrations, ask an undertaker and much more! Or simply to stop by for coffee / tea and cake. Here’s what was on each day:

Tales of The Grimm Reaper – storytelling night at The British Oak in Stirchley: Friday 13th May from 7pm
Death Disco at the Hare and Hounds: Saturday 14th May from 8pm
