Wednesday 22nd January 2020, 11.30am-2.30pm
Highbury Hall, Moseley.
You are invited to join Bill’s family for a memorial service and celebration of his life at Highbury Hall in Moseley.
Refreshments will also be provided.
Bill requested that his funeral service itself be very simple and so a private, family cremation took place on 19th December.
You will find more information about the day in the tabs below, but please do check back on this page a few days beforehand for any final updates.
To give Bill’s family an idea of numbers, please could you let them know if you’re able to attend by using this RSVP Link

At the memorial, the family would like to display some memories of Bill from attendees as well as those who can’t make it. If you are happy to provide a memory please feel free to type or write one out and bring it along with you on the day or alternatively submit it here and the family will print it out on your behalf. It could be a story of a trip you took together, a joke you shared, or just a time Bill made you laugh or smile.
The family have chosen two charities that were close to Bill’s heart :
Ikon Gallery : Bill was a loyal Ikon supporter, and believed strongly that we need art and especially young artists to keep us all on track. He proudly wore an Ikon gallery badge on his fleece jacket most of the time.
Birmingham St. Mary’s Hospice provides end of life care and support. We were lucky to benefit from the incredible services of the NHS and St. Mary’s including the ‘Hospice at Home Team’, which meant Bill could stay at home which is what he wanted.
If you would like to donate please follow this link to the fundraising page
Please wear whatever feels comfortable; whether it’s a suit, or jeans and a t-shirt, Bill’s family will just be pleased that you can join them.
